Achievements | I recently competed at National Team Trials#3 2018 and made the semi-finals repechage. I was also alternate for Team BC at Canada Summer Games 2017 and I received the U14 Male Canoe Development Award in 2017. |
Goals | In 2021, I would like to make Canada Summer Games team. I would also like to make the Canadian Olympic Hopes team in 2019, and in 2020, I am going to try and make U23 Junior World Championships. |
Story | I started paddling in a Canoe Kids camp in 2013. As I started to progress in the sport, I attempted to use faster and less stable boats, but they had been all taken by the older athletes. There was one boat in the shed that nobody wanted to use--the canoe--and I got hooked, and ever since the day I tried canoe, I stuck with it. Sprint Canoe has taken me to much greater heights than I would've ever expected. My advice to anyone starting out is if the going gets rough, don't give up and keep trying. |
